Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken
And politicians trying to rise above the fray do not make them different or exceptional.
I don’t want politicians to play nice.
I don’t want them to get along.
I want a Giuliani opponent to call him a cocksucker.
I want a Hillary opponent to call her a cunt.
I want unfounded accusations, immature finger-pointing, needless backstabbing and blatant suckholing – all things we expect from our leaders.
And don’t kid yourself into thinking that Americans, compared to other world leaders, are above such pettiness. We don’t play nice – never have, never will, so why should be expect our politicians to rise above such petulant behavior.
You want civility, host a Tupperware party.
Politics has always been dirty and brutal – from Caesar to Kennedy, the wet work never ends.
Cruelty and the willingness to stomp on your opponent until only a mushy pulp is left is how you win.
And if you think things were nasty in the past, we’re in for a treat this year.
C’mon folks, we have a font-row seat, enjoy.

Yanno, I’d really rather they just have it out in a mudpit fight.
